Community Fair Shows Pride in our Valley

This weekend I was reminded of another reason why I love Walla Walla. The Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days happened. What a big event! There are so many things all happening at once. Every bit of it is work for so many volunteers - and there are many moving parts from animals, to exhibits, entries into the judging, concerts, the demo derby, the rodeo for three nights - all of the extra stages and their participants. I could go on and on.
We entered the parade with a float this year - another way to introduce our office & RE/MAX Sweet Valley to the community. We had so much fun putting it together.
We had our daughter, daughter in law, and two of our grandkids walk with us. Rachel was there too. Some friends of our drove the truck. We then proceeded to hand out 1000 pencils and 10 LARGE bags of candy - and we did NOT have enough for the end of the parade. For those of you that saw us towards the end of the parade - we apologize!
The whole parade felt so patriotic - and seeing ALL of the valley out to enjoy the parade was a sight to behold. I haven't been in the parade before. It's a different perspective for sure! The side walks were completely full all the way around the route. Our community supports each other and I was practically moved to tears by the excitement!
Our RE/MAX balloon worked with the patriotic theme - and we were pretty proud of our tag line:
"LOOK WHAT LANDED IN WALLA WALLA"
Such a fun time! Thanks everyone for being the best little community to live, work, and play in. We are blessed beyond measure!
